Studies have shown that, in addition to helping people feel better, regular exercise can reduce obesity related medical costs by as much as 50 percent.

The Boulder Junction Trail count for the 2003 season was 70,000 trail visits. Other studies indicate average expenses per visit are $27.00. That adds up to a local economic impact of $1,890,000 per year.
